Grand Rapids-based fintech company Acrisure has acquired a customizable commercial insurance company.

Acrisure said Monday (Sept. 21) it has acquired B2Z, a digital company that allows business owners to customize their insurance coverage. The terms of the contract are not disclosed.

“Acrisure is building a robust digital marketplace that simplifies transactions across all of our lines of business,” said Acrisure Co-Founder and CEO Greg Williams. “In this regard, B2Z is a perfect fit as a leader in providing customized solutions to small businesses. I’m proud to welcome (CEO and Founder Kuldeep Malik) and the B2Z team to Acrisure.

Malik founded the Schaumburg, Illinois-based B2Z during the COVID-19 pandemic to help small business owners save time. The company uses third-party data and analytics to help customers answer application questions during the insurance application process.

B2Z complements Acrisure’s digital partnership with QuickInsured, a platform that offers personal insurance policies.

Acrisure continues to expand its portfolio of insurance solutions to better serve its customers, according to the release.

“We are proud to help expand Acrisure’s unparalleled relationships and technology capabilities,” said Malik. “B2Z looks forward to joining Acrisure’s culture of collaboration and trust.”

Over the past eight years, Acrisure has grown its revenue from $38 million to nearly $4 billion. It is now one of the top 10 global insurance brokers.

The company is also gaining odd notoriety this fall thanks to the naming rights it won this summer for Acrisure Stadium, formerly Heinz Field, home of the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers.
