Bennington State Bank expands with physical branch in Wichita

Bennington State Bank (BSB), an independent community bank in central Kansas, headquartered in Salina, announced the opening of a new location in Wichita.

The full-service branch, the ninth in Kansas for BSB, opened March 15 at 3954 N. Ridge Road in the new Estancia Business Development in Wichita.

“We’ve had many banking relationships in the Wichita area for years,” said Carolyn Sichley, chief marketing officer for the bank. “Having the location there just makes sense to strengthen (those) relationships with our customers and of course build new relationships and serve those customers.”

Having a local and community bank is an important option for Kansas residents.

“Managing your finances with a community bank, such as BSB, gives customers peace of mind knowing that their business with Bennington State Bank is helping influence growth and reinvestment in the community,” said Ryan Commerford, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Bringing this type of community and local service to the Wichita area is important to BSB.

“Wichita is Bennington State Bank’s ninth full-service banking location in Kansas,” said Brandon Knowles, president of the Wichita market for BSB. “BSB is proud to be able to offer the personalized care and service of a local, community-focused bank, combined with cutting-edge banking technology found in large banks.”

The bank said Wichita customers are excited to have a physical branch in that community.

“Customers are always happy to have friendly faces ready to help them with their finances, but we also strive to provide our customers with ways to stay on the move with digital solutions,” Commerford said. “Bennington State Bank offers many banking services to our customers, including traditional retail banking, digital solutions, cash management, and trust and wealth management services.”
