Jacques Ripoll, Deputy Managing Director of Crédit Agricole SA, in charge of the Large Customers Division, has decided to give a new direction to his professional life, after a long career in the banking sector. He will join, as a Partner, Eren Group, a key player dedicated to saving natural resources and one of the European leaders in energy transition. He will leave Crédit Agricole on September 1, 2022.

Philippe Brassac, Xavier Musca and the Executive Committee of Crédit Agricole SA warmly thank Jacques Ripoll for the strong dynamic of development and transformation that he gave to the entities under his responsibility. They wish him every success in his new career.

At the Board of Directors of Crédit Agricole CIB on July 28 and at the Board of Directors of Crédit Agricole SA on August 3, 2022, Philippe Brassac will propose the appointment of Xavier MuscaDeputy Managing Director of Crédit Agricole SA, Head of the Large Customers Division and Managing Director of Crédit Agricole CIB.
This appointment will be effective as of September 1, 2022.

Crédit Agricole SA’s Large Customers division brings together Crédit Agricole CIB’s investment banking activities, CACEIS’ institutional financial services and Private Banking in France and abroad, via Indosuez Wealth Management.

Xavier Musca began his career at the General Inspectorate of Finance in 1985. In 1989, he joined the Treasury Department and was appointed Head of the European Affairs Office in 1990. In 1993, he became technical adviser to Prime Minister Edouard Balladur before joined the Treasury in 1995, first as Head of the Financial Markets Office, then as Deputy Director for Europe in charge of Monetary and International Affairs (1996) and finally Director of the Department of State and Financial Financing economy (2000). From 2002 to 2004, Xavier Musca was Chief of Staff to the Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry, Francis Mer. In 2004, he was appointed Director of the Treasury. In this capacity, he chaired the Paris Club and the Economic and Financial Committee of the European Union, made up of senior officials from national administrations and European central banks. He left the Treasury on February 26, 2009 to join the Office of the President of the Republic as Deputy Secretary General for Economic Affairs. On February 27, 2011, he was appointed Secretary General of the President’s Office. In 2012, Xavier Musca was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole SA.

Xavier Musca is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and the National School of Administration (1983/1985). He is an Officer of the Legion of Honor, Knight of the National Order of Merit, of the Order of Agricultural Merit and of the Order of Carlos III (Spain).
