Renowned Economist Haiying Liu Joins VS Partners as Chief Economist and Investment Committee Member
HONG KONG – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Renowned economist and former Canadian hedge fund manager Haiying Liu joins VS Partners (Hong Kong) Co., Limited (“VS Partners”) as Chief Economist and Board Member investment.

Haiying Liu has nearly 30 years of experience in macro research and the hedge fund industry. He has held positions as a portfolio manager and chief investment officer in Canadian hedge funds, focusing on quantitative and global macro strategies. After returning to China, he held similar positions in various Chinese asset management companies. He has advanced conventional macro-investment research with in-depth knowledge of China to inform practical applications in the process of quantitative and multi-asset investment management. In addition, his published books on China’s economic trends, “Boom or Trap: What’s Next for China’s Economy” and “Debt Mountain: Behind China’s Economic Miracle”, have been widely praised by both the investment community and universities. Haiying Liu holds a BA in Management from Fudan University, an MA in Economics, and a PhD in Finance application from Peking University.
